Jason Paul Tecson studied Fine Arts at the Far Eastern University, Manila. His works were featured at collective and solo exhibits in The Philippines and Singapore. Jason Paul Tecson is one of the few remaining contemporary artists today who is deeply dedicated to sculpture. He creates abstract forms or figures by casting, using plaster, fiberglass, industrial materials - or simply utilizing what is available – raised or sunken patterns: texture that creates the kind of surface Tecson is aiming for. Usually these surfaces resemble a somewhat vile, crude and interesting form– like charred remains involving trauma, tumult, and contemplation of existence. Tecson shares, "I focused more on making simpler forms that are both strange yet recognizable”.
